Ampati, October 27, 2025: The Block-level Chief Minister’s Youth Engagement Program (CM-YEP) was conducted for Betasing C&RD Block at Ampati MFC, near DC’s Office on October 27,2025, marking the culmination of a series of CM-YEP events held across all four blocks of South West Garo Hills district over the past two weeks.
Organized by the District Sports Office, South West Garo Hills, the program in the blocks witnessed vibrant participation from students and youth who showcased their talents in a wide range of competitions — including folk song and dance, poetry, story writing, extempore speech, guitar, painting, science and technology, quiz, and tug of war.
Block Development Officer (BDO), Betasing C&RD Block, Smt. C.R. N. Sangma, attended today’s program under her block and spoke words of encouragement to the participating students. She also distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of various competitions.
Similar block-level programs were successfully organized earlier this month across the district. On October 14, 2025, Smt. T. K. Marak, BDO, Zikzak C&RD Block, attended the event at Zikzak block headquarter; on October 18, 2025, Shri A. K. Marak, BDO, Purakhasia C&RD Block, participated in the program held at Darong Adu; and on October 22, 2025, Shri Armand Ch. Momin, BDO, Rerapara C&RD Block, graced the event organized at Mellim.
CM-YEP is an initiative designed to empower the youth of Meghalaya through cultural exposure, leadership development, and skill enhancement, nurturing them to become confident ambassadors of the state at national and international platforms.
Meanwhile, the District level event of CM-YEP is slated to be held on October 30 at Ampati.
