AMPATI, October 5, 2025: An Arm Wrestling tournament was held on October 4th, 2025 at Ampati Indoor stadium near here.

The tournament, organized by the South West Garo Hills district Arm Wrestling Association in collaboration with the District Sports office saw a total of 44 participants comprising of 34 male contestants and 10 female competitors.

Contestants competed in three categories each in both male and female groups, that are 55 kg above, 75 kg above, 90 kg above in the male category and 40 kg above, 60 kg above, 80 kg above in the female category.

Shri. Emphul Ch. Marak, District School Education Officer attended the tournament as the Chief Guest and encouraged the competitors. He later gave away certificates and prizes to the champions of the tournament.
