Shillong, Feb 3, 2026: Hon’ble Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma attended the Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (RBSM) 2026 in Shillong, a first-of-its-kind event for Meghalaya and the North Eastern region, aimed at strengthening export opportunities and enhancing global market access for MSMEs.
Describing the event as a proud moment for the State, the Chief Minister noted that challenges often carry hidden opportunities and emphasised that initiatives like RBSM must translate into tangible outcomes through sustained effort and consistency.
Highlighting ongoing reforms, value addition by farmers and women Self-Help Groups, and partnership-driven growth, he said that farmers, MSMEs, buyers, and stakeholders are the true protagonists of the programme, and expressed hope that the platform would lead to long-term collaborations.
During the programme, the Chief Minister launched the MeghaRise Logo & Brand and the State-level MSME Portal, aimed at strengthening branding, improving visibility, and facilitating access to digital services for entrepreneurs across Meghalaya.
The Chief Minister also visited stalls set up by entrepreneurs, SHGs, and MSMEs, and interacted with delegates from 15 participating countries, underscoring Meghalaya’s growing engagement with global markets.
