Resubelpara, Nov 8, 2025: Union Minister of State for AYUSH and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, visited North Garo Hills district on Saturday to conduct an extensive review of the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

The visit began with an on-site inspection of the Resubelpara Community Health Centre, including the Ayurveda & Homeopathy (AYUSH) OPD, MGNREGA work sites, and interactions with Village Health Councils and PMAY (G) beneficiaries.

Underscoring his emphasis on grassroots participation, the Minister engaged in detailed discussions with members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) to understand their entrepreneurial journeys, challenges, and the transformative role of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in empowering women and fostering financial independence.

During the comprehensive review meeting with district officials, Shri Jadhav expressed satisfaction with the district’s overall performance, particularly in implementing central schemes. He lauded the dedication of the District Administration and line departments for their consistent efforts, even in challenging conditions.

Highlighting areas for further improvement, the Minister urged the administration to enhance service delivery, strengthen digital connectivity for timely reporting, and ensure complete saturation of flagship programmes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission.

North Garo Hills’ Deputy Commissioner Dr. Abhishek Saini remarked that the Minister’s visit and guidance would provide fresh momentum to accelerate development initiatives in North Garo Hills. He reaffirmed the district’s commitment to address feedback, improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and enhance efficiency in service delivery to citizens.

The review covered multiple sectors, including Health, Education, MGNREGA, PMAY (G), Aspirational Block Programme, Food & Civil Supplies, Soil & Water Conservation, Water Resources, Fisheries, Horticulture, Agriculture, PHE, and PWD (Roads).
