Ampati, Jan 23, 2026: As part of anti-tobacco campaign under National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP), the Joint Action Team comprising of Health, Pulis and Transport departments of South West Garo Hills on Thursday distributed IEC materials to all commercial vehicles of the district at Ampati pulis check point.

IEC materials such as anti-tobacco posters and signages were handed over to the commercial vehicles during the day and at least about 100 vehicles have complied with and begun displaying them in their vehicles.
