Residents of Danakgre demands immediate improvement of Airtel Network and Internet Services

Tura, Oct 20, 2026:The residents across multiple localities in Tura, including Danakgre, Bokmagre, Dopgre and Atmile are facing a severe hardships due to persistent and exceptionally poor Airtel mobile network and internet connectivity.

​Despite these areas being vital residential and rapidly growing semi-urban localities, subscribers have been grappling with extremely weak signal reception for a prolonged period.

The inadequate network infrastructure has led to frequent call drops, unstable voice connectivity and sluggish mobile data speeds (4G/5G). This ongoing communication breakdown has severely impacted students relying on online education, working professionals, emergency service coordination and daily wage earners who depend heavily on digital connectivity for their livelihood.

​Speaking on the matter, the local resident Bipin M. Sangma expressed deep frustration over the telecom operator’s apathy toward upgrading local network infrastructure. “In this digital era, reliable communication is a basic necessity. However, Airtel consumers in our areas are completely disconnected from quality service despite paying for regular plans,” he stated.

​The affected public has strongly appealed to the North East Circle Management and the Nodal Officer of Bharti Airtel Ltd. to immediate inspection of the ground reality, optimize local tower capacities, or install necessary signal boosters in Danakgre, Bokmagre, Dopgre and Atmile to resolve the crisis without further delay.
