UASEJF Established to Combat Corruption and Advocate for Justice
Williamnagar (Simsanggre), Nov 10, 2024: On Saturday, the 9th November, 2024, community leaders and activists held a meeting in Williamnagar to formation of the United A·chik Socio-Economy Justice Forum (UASEJF), a New Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to combating Corruption and Advocating for Social and Economic Justice. This initiative comes in response to growing concerns about corruption and inequity affecting local communities and aims to create a platform for change and accountability.
The UASEJF is founded on the principles of transparency, integrity and community empowerment. Its mission is to serve as a voice for those who have been marginalized or wronged by Systemic Injustices. The Organization will focus on raising awareness about corruption, providing resources for those seeking justice and creating a network of support for individuals affected by these issues.
“The establishment of UASEJF marks a significant step forward in our fight against corruption and our commitment to justice” said Dimchang Dwarka M Sangma, newly elected President of the UASEJF.
“We believe that everyone deserves access to justice and that together we can build a society where fairness prevails” added Sangma.
The Executive Committee of the UASEJF is comprised of dedicated individuals from various backgrounds, each bringing their unique skills and experiences to the organization.
The newly elected office bearers of the UASEJF is Dimchang Dwarka M Sangma as President, Sengba N Marak as Vice President,
Jackiqus D Sangma as General Secretary,
Tochang N Marak as Chief Organising Secretary, Balzilai D Sangma as Games & Sports Secretary, Xavier R Marak as Enquiry In-Charge, Andresh Ch. Sangma as Action Wing Secretary, Mingran T Sangma as RTI Secretary, Christobirth D Sangma Western In-Charge, Siljrangbirth Ch Sangma as Plain Belt In-Charge and Diknan N.Marak as Publicity Saecretary.
The organization also benefits from the guidance of its advisory board members, including esteemed figures such as Dr. P.G. Momin and Simon D. Sangma, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in Social Justice Advocacy.
The UASEJF is committed to engaging with the community through workshops, public forums, and outreach programs designed to educate citizens about their rights and the importance of civic engagement. By fostering a culture of accountability, UASEJF aims to empower individuals to stand up against corruption and seek justice for themselves and others.
As part of its inaugural activities, UASEJF invites all members of the community to participate in upcoming events aimed at promoting awareness about corruption and discussing strategies for advocacy. The organization believes that collective action is essential to creating lasting change.
