Ampati, Nov 26, 2025: Together with the rest of the country, the National Constitution Day was celebrated at the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s Office, South West Garo Hills, Ampati on Wednesday.

The officers and staff of the DC’s Office, including the amalgamated offices participated in a brief but solemn programme.

Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Hema Nayak led the employees in reading the Preamble to the Constitution of India.

Earlier, She briefly addressed the gathering about the significance of National Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, which is celebrated every year on November 26, to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India.

The Preamble was also read by the officers and staff of various Government offices in the district to mark the day.
