Siju, Mar 20,2025: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) Siju Circle, South Garo Hills-o, on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Education Minister Rakkam Ampang Sangma, regarding the public grievances for mortuary van in Siju area.
FKJGP Siju Circle, highlighted that, there were no mortuary van facilities in Siju area has been caused immense hardship and distress to the families of the deceased.
Saljong D.Sangma President of FKJGP Siju Circle, says many families in Siju and its adjoining areas has been facing very difficulties in transporting the mortal remains of their loved ones, due to unavailability of mortuary van. This has resulted unnecessary delays, additional expenses and emotional trauma.
In this regard, “We respectfully requested you to allocate mortuary van for Siju area. This is very greatly alleviate the suffering of the families and provide to dignity and respect, them to deserve in their time of grief” added Sangma.
