Resubelpara, February 26, 2026: The District School Education Officer (DSEO), North Garo Hills, organised the District Level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for Children 2025–2026 at Resubelpara today under the theme “STEM for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat.” The exhibition aimed to promote scientific temper, innovation and problem-solving skills among students.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Abhishek Saini, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the exhibition of science projects and models.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of STEM education in building a developed and self-reliant nation. He encouraged students to develop a scientific mindset, take keen interest in Science and Mathematics, and consider pursuing Science in higher studies.
Emphasising the importance of curiosity and critical thinking, he encouraged students to take genuine interest in Science and Mathematics and not perceive them as difficult subjects. He remarked that once the concepts are clearly understood, these subjects become engaging and enjoyable.
The Deputy Commissioner also called upon teachers to adopt creative and engaging teaching methods to instill interest and appreciation for Science and Mathematics among students.
Others present during the programme included District School Education Officer, Shri B.M. Hajong, and Sub-Divisional School Education Officer, Shri W.G. Momin, along with students and teachers from various schools across the district.
Students enthusiastically participated in the exhibition by displaying innovative science project models aligned with the theme, reflecting their understanding of STEM concepts and their relevance to nation-building.
