Tura, July 12: The selection trial for the 39th National Games 2027 was held on Saturday at Pa Togan Nengminja Track and Field Stadium, Dakopgre, Tura.
The athletic selection trial for the Garo Hills region consisted of three different disciplines of running, jumping and throwing events for both men and women.
The event was organised by the West Garo Hills District Sports Office in collaboration with Meghalaya State Olympic Association.
The selection trials for the Jaintia Hills and Khasi Hills region were held on 28th June 2025 and 5th July 2025 respectively.
