71st All India Cooperative Week Celebration Closing Ceremony
Baghmara, Nov. 21, 2024: The closing ceremony of the 71st All India Cooperative Week Celebration, 2024 was held at Baghmara, South Garo Hills, District under the theme “Role of Cooperatives in Achieving SDGs and Way Forward for a Better World”.
The event was organized by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Meghalaya, Shillong, in collaboration with Meghalaya Basin Management Authority (MBMA) and Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank (MCAB) Ltd, Richard Yanthan Deputy Commissioner, of South Garo Hills, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In the last day of celebration, tablets were also distributed to IVCS Managers by MBMA, handed over by the dignitaries, showcasing efforts to empower cooperatives and enhance their contributions towards achieving sustainable development goals.
The program was concluded successfully, highlighting the importance of cooperatives in driving sustainable development and fostering community empowerment in South Garo Hills.
