Tura, March 19, 2025: In an effort to sensitise the people on various developmental schemes of the Government departments a weeklong awareness on these developmental schemes titled “Bakrin 2025” concluded today on a high note at Dadenggre Playground where West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chelani graced the occasion as Chief Guest in the presence of Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dadenggrre Civil Sub-Division C Awasthi, Officers of various departments and people of the area.

Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Jagdish Chelani expressed his gratitude for being able to attend the programme and also lauded the organisers for sensitising the people of the area on various key flagship government schemes during this week long programme. Further, he urged the people to avail different facilities provided by the government and utilise it for the welfare of the people of the area.

During this week-long programme, different departments of the Sub-Division have explained in detail about the schemes available in their respective departments. Meanwhile, various exciting events such as Wall Painting, Tug of War, Volleyball, Music and Dance, Handicraft and Vegetable Show, Food and Game Stall were also organised and people participated in these events with great enthusiasm.

The Best Village was Awarded to Modelgre Village and Clean Village was Awarded to Damal Asim Village, while the Best Village Employment Council (VEC) was Awarded to Sadolpara Village under Dadenggre (Civil) Sub-Division. Citation and cash Award of Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 20,000/- was presented respectively to these awardees.
