Resubelpara, January 26, 2025: In North Garo Hills district, Resubelpara, Marcuise N Marak, Minister PHE, Soil & Water Conservation, Housing, unfurled the National Flag and took the Rashtrya Salute at the celebration of the 76th Republic Day in Resubelpara today

On the occasion the chief guest, Marcuise N Marak extended his greetings to the people of the district and paid tribute to the national and state leaders for their selfless services rendered in the formation of India as a Republic country.
The brave soldiers of the land; the armed forces, the paramilitary and the Meghalaya Police forces were also acknowledged for their role in safeguarding the integrity of the country and the state as a whole.

The chief guest in his speech also highlighted the various achievements and developmental activities being undertaken by the state government through its various functionaries.

The ceremonial parade was led by John Clitzer Sangma, Dy. SP (HQ) and second commander Inspector Ruffy Sangma. Altogether, 16 parade contingencies comprising of the Meghalaya Police Battalion, Mendipathar NCC cadets (boys & girls) among various schools of the district took part in the parades. Paschal Secondary School was adjudged the Best Parade.

In the departmental tableaux presentation, Agriculture, Horticulture, DC (Election), Medical, MBDA, Soil and Water Conservation and PHE departments displayed their respective activities and the best tableau presentation was bagged by PHE (RWS) Resubelpara division.

The District Administration, Resubelpara acknowledged 7 employees from various departments for their commitment in their lines of duty. The best employees who were felicitated by the chief guest were Prejibson Marak (Medical), Jetmit Arengh (Soil & Water dept), Inspector Sentforth Marak, SI Suprosat Sangma, Head Constable Walseng Marak (Police), Maclauren Marak and Johnberian Sangma from Resubelpara C&RD Block.
