South West Garo Hills Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervor
Ampati, January 26, 2025: The South West Garo Hills district marked the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Students’ Field, Ampati. Dr. Mazel Amparene Lyngdoh, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Law, Information & Public Relations, etc., graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Lyngdoh unfurled the National Flag and addressed the gathering, highlighting the remarkable achievements of the Government in various sectors. She emphasized the importance of collective efforts in realizing the vision of a progressive and inclusive nation.
The celebrations featured a vibrant march past by police personnel and students from various schools in the district, showcasing their discipline and dedication. A tableau parade by the district’s line departments vividly portrayed the region’s development initiatives and cultural heritage. Adding to the patriotic fervor were captivating cultural performances that celebrated the rich traditions and diversity of the region.
Following the official proceedings, Dr. Lyngdoh visited the Civil Hospital in Ampati. During her visit, she interacted with patients, offering words of encouragement and distributing food items, particularly to pregnant women, as a gesture of care and support.
