Tura, October 18, 2024: A One Day Workshop on Human Development Leadership program for the Nokmas of the region was held at DRDA Conference Hall, Tura on 18th October, 2024. West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Jagdish Chelani, Project Director, DRDA, West Garo Hills, J R T Sangma, Heads of line departments of the district, Nokmas of the area were among others present at the workshop.
Delivering the keynote address Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chelani highlighted on the aspects of Human Development Leadership program which focuses on addressing problems of all members of a household and not merely implement program and schemes including strengthening citizen-state relationship by creating trust in all government among citizens and create a sense of team amongst government functionaries so they work with shared purpose, urgency and motivation to solve problems collaboratively. He further mentioned that the multi-dimensional poverty framework requires a household based approach to human development.
Further, during the day long program, the concerned line departments comprising of Agriculture, Horticulture, AH & Veterinary, MSRLS, DCIC, Education, PM Poshan, JJM, Health, Social Welfare, etc presented their schemes and programs of their respective departments for the information and benefit of the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries were also briefed on various services being provided to the people such as Registration Branch, Certificate branch, DRDA, Judicial, Permissions, Disaster Management, Swachh Bharat Mission, Aadhar and people can avail the opportunity provided by these branches and departments.
