Niksilchi Marak participates Republic Day Celebration in Delhi to represent NER Directorate as Contingent Commander
Tura, Jan 29, 2025: Student from Tura Don Bosco College, Miss Niksilchi A.Marak participated Republic Day Celebration in Delhi in 2024-2025. Her Republic Day Celebration experience was life changing journey, where she got trained cadets from all corners of India, learning not just military drills, but also about difference cultures. She feel privileged to be the first cadet from Garo Hills to represent NER Directorate as the contingent Commander.
The parade camp taught her the value of discipline teamwork and the importance of representing her State with honour. She would take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported her during this journey. Their support and understanding have meant everything to her, she thanked all the .supporters.
In 6th Meghalaya Games which was held in Jowai from 20-25 January, 2025. The 6th NCC cadets from Tura Don Bosco College, took part in different events or categories. In shooting JUO Tengsilchi R.Marak awarded Gold Medal in 50 meter rifle open sight women individual, bronze medal in 10 meter air rifle women individual and bronze medal in 10 meter air rifle mixed team.
In Wrestling CQMS Ronibel N.Sangma got Bronze Medal in Women Freestyle Wrestling individual. In LCPL Nochambe Ch.Marak and Rashme D.Sangma from Tura Don Bosco College got Bronze Medal in Women Freestyle Wrestling individual.
In Volleyball Cadet Kakimchi S.Sangma got Bronze Medal in Women Volleyball Team.
