Tura, Feb 28, 2025: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) Rajabala Circle and combined NGO’s like FKJGP, GSU, GSMC, ASWA, NGCO, ACHIK and ASPF Rajabala Unit, today visited an illegal running of Stone Crushers and Stone Quarries in Rongsanggre Kotchugre, Goalgaon Peradunga and Wadagokgre near Bhaithbari villages, under Rajabala Police Station, West Garo Hills.
It is clearing all stones from the Hills areas and lead to deforestation. It makes against the Indian Forest Act, 1865,1878 Act, and 1927 Act, said NGOs.
The Joint Action Committee and combined NGO’s of Rajabala Circle strongly complaint against the illegal running of stone crushers and stone quarries of all villages, under the Rongsanggre A·king, Wadagokgre A·king and Kotchugre A·king, added NGOs.
The combined NGOs and Joint Action Committee demands to take necessary action against the illegal stone crushers and stone quarries and also cease the stone crushers and stone quarries for heading Government Laws. The Owners of the stone crushers and stone quarries is vital for the people of A·king Nokmas, said NGOs.
