Tura, Mar 23, 2025: The A·chik State Peoples’ Front (ASPF) organised a bike rally and poster campaign on 22 March, 2025 in demanding to establishment of Winter Capital in Tura. The rally was started from Gokgolgre, North Garo Hills, via Bajengdoba, Pedaldoba, Raksamgre and ultimately concluded at Kamari, Tikirkilla in West Garo Hills.
Raksim Marak, Chief Organizing Secretary of ASPF, highlighted the objectives of rally and poster campaign. He stated, “This initiative forms an integral part of our broader awareness campaign advocating for the establishment of the Winter Capital in Tura. Through this poster and banner campaign, we seek to enhance public understanding of our rights concerning the Winter Capital. Our objective is to foster community unite and strengthen our movement towards realizing our long-standing aspiration for a Winter Capital in Tura”, informed Adv. Bernita R.Marak General Secretary of ASPF, HQ, Tura.
The rally reached its destination at Kamari, Tikirkilla in West Garo Hills, where Ronald Sangma, Adviser to the Eastern Zone, extended his sincere appreciation to all participants for their involvement, she added.
