Simsanggre, Mar 26, 2025: The beneficiaries of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority House Hold (PHH), Ration Cards in Cheran Alda village have complaint to the A·chik Dedicated Integrity Leaders (ADIL) CEB in Williamnagar, East Garo Hills.
The ADIL NGO has subsequently written to the Deputy Commissioner of East Garo Hills, Williamnagar, regarding the non-issuance of ration by the department and Public Distribution System (PDS), dealer for the month of February.
The affected households are entitled to receive subsidized food grains under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013. However, due to non-issuance of ration, these families are facing difficulties in accessing essential commodities.
“We urge the concerned authorities to take immediate action to resolve this issue and ensure that the beneficiaries to receive their entitled ration. We also request the public to bring attention to this matter and support the affected families in Cheran Alda village” said Francis C.Marak President of ADIL, CEB HQ, Williamnagar.
